Turtles have a slow reputation, but in the water they are quite fast. Did you know that sea turtles cannot retract into their shells? Land turtles can, but the shell of a sea turtle is purely for protection and to swim more efficiently in the waters.
The shell of a sea turtle is hard and the skin has a reptile feel. So there is nothing soft about a turtle and yet they look very cute to me. Maybe it’s because of the Finding Nemo movie. Who knows?!
I portrayed this sea turtle as a backpacker. We all carry some luggage. Some luggage is more visible than others. Some are heavier than others. Lets not judge, but help out and carry some of the load of someone else if we can.

The original is drawn with graphite pencil on 250 gms paper. This is extra thick paper (it’s actually used for watercolour). This paper has a little structure in it to give it a natural look.
